A silver hand holds a small piece of the northern sky. The opal is broad and flat, laid across the palm like a shard rather than a stone — as though the aurora itself froze mid-shimmer and someone broke off a fragment small enough to carry home. In direct sunlight the green-blue fire floods the surface with the slow, moving glow that anyone who has stood beneath the northern lights recognises instantly: not a flash but a drift, colour that arrives from one edge of the stone and washes across to the other before you can name it.
