A note on the stone: Natural opal holds a small amount of water inside its structure. Keep it away from extreme heat, chemicals, and long sun exposure. Wipe gently with a soft cloth. Treated with care, it will hold its fire for a lifetime.
The stone is rounded and full at the top, tapering gently toward the base: the shape of a small animal curled into a resting form. Its base is warm and semi-translucent, the pale cinnamon-honey color of a young deer's coat at dusk. Beneath the surface, soft pink and green fire drift slowly, more like breath than flash. Nothing about this stone is loud. Its fire moves the way a fawn moves in tall grass: quiet, careful, present. The gold hand holds it fully cupped, the way you would hold something that had chosen to come close.
THE CHARACTER ARC:
A fawn is a creature that has not yet decided whether the world is safe. It comes closer anyway.
There is a kind of softness that is often mistaken for weakness. It isn't. A fawn is soft, but a fawn is also alert: every muscle listening, every sense open, choosing at every moment whether to stay or to run. To be that soft and still stay is not a lack of strength. It is a different kind of strength entirely.
This stone is the color of that softness. Warm honey-cinnamon at the base, with pink and green fire moving gently across the surface: not the bright neon burn of some opals, but something quieter, held closer to the skin. It is the shade of a young deer stepping out of the woods at dusk, the shade of trust just beginning to form.
She is not fragile. She is simply the kind of person who has stayed tender on purpose.
Avoid Water & Chemicals :
Keep all pieces dry and away from water. This is vital for The Renaissance Edit's vintage brass, as it prevents oxidation. Also, avoid perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and harsh cleaning agents; they can dull stones and react with metals.
Proper Storage :
When not worn, store your treasures in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct sunlight, ideally in individual soft pouches or a lined jewelry box, to protect their brilliance.
Brass Care :
Vintage brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. For oxidation or spots on Renaissance Edit brass, a gentle polish with a soft cloth will easily restore its warm, golden luster. Embrace this as part of its living history!
