Materials: Rhodium-Plated Copper Alloy Sculptural Hand + Natural Opal (plump corn-kernel form, semi-translucent body with vivid blue fire across the top and a small warm orange core at the base)
Natural opal contains water. Keep away from heat, harsh chemicals, and ultrasonic cleaners. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth.
Plump and softly rounded, the shape of a single corn kernel popped free from the cob. The main body flashes bright blue across the surface — vivid, electric, catching the light with the smallest movement. At the base, a small patch of warm orange glows through like a hidden core, as if whatever heat the stone was born with has gathered itself into one spot and stayed there. Set in rhodium-plated silver-white, which lets the blue stay cool and the orange stay surprising. One-of-a-kind. October birthstone.
THE CHARACTER ARC:
A small warm core, held inside the cool bright thing.
A kernel is the part that counts. The small hard center of a seed, the single edible grain, the core of an argument you keep coming back to. English uses the word for both — the thing you can hold between two fingers, and the thing a whole idea reduces down to. The point of the thing.
Her body is both meanings at once. On the outside, cool blue fire moving across the surface like weather. At the base, one small spot of warm orange glowing from inside — the kernel of the thing, the quiet center that the rest of the stone has arranged itself around. The cool is the show. The warm is the point.
She is for anyone who knows that the loudest part is rarely the real one. That the small warm core is what the whole stone was holding together, all along.
Avoid Water & Chemicals :
Keep all pieces dry and away from water. This is vital for The Renaissance Edit's vintage brass, as it prevents oxidation. Also, avoid perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and harsh cleaning agents; they can dull stones and react with metals.
Proper Storage :
When not worn, store your treasures in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct sunlight, ideally in individual soft pouches or a lined jewelry box, to protect their brilliance.
Brass Care :
Vintage brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. For oxidation or spots on Renaissance Edit brass, a gentle polish with a soft cloth will easily restore its warm, golden luster. Embrace this as part of its living history!
