Condition: REIMAGINED VINTAGE
This pendant sets a solid brass kingfisher in mid-flight against a polished cushion of deep green jade — wings spread, body angled downward, caught in the split second between sky and water. The jade beneath is forest-dark, scattered with natural white and pale green inclusions that drift through the stone like clouds seen from above or foam on a river's surface. The bird is modeled with naturalist care: feathered wings rendered in fine texture, a sharp beak, the taut streamlined posture of a creature built entirely for the act of diving. Weighing 4.5g and measuring 1.56 inches, the piece has the quiet energy of something in motion — not resting, not arriving, just moving through green space with the certainty of something that has never once doubted where it's going.
THE CHARACTER ARC:
A Bird That Never Asks Permission to Fly
The Greenwood Flight Pendant holds a single image: a kingfisher crossing a green sky. Not perched. Not resting. Crossing — with the particular confidence of a creature that doesn't distinguish between wanting to fly and flying.
The kingfisher has been a symbol of freedom across cultures for as long as people have watched birds and wished they could do what birds do. Not the soaring, circling freedom of an eagle — something quicker, closer to the ground, more intimate. The freedom of a thing that moves through the world at its own speed, in its own direction, without consulting anyone. The green jade beneath it deepens the image: forest canopy, river moss, the dense living green of a world that doesn't need human permission to grow.
As part of The Renaissance Edit, this pendant is lovingly reconstructed from vintage components, carrying both age and renewed purpose. It is made for the woman who has stopped waiting for the right moment to move — who has learned that freedom isn't a destination you arrive at, but a way you carry yourself through ordinary days. Wear it on the days you need to remember: you were never meant to sit still. You were built to cross.
Avoid Water & Chemicals :
Keep all pieces dry and away from water. This is vital for The Renaissance Edit's vintage brass, as it prevents oxidation. Also, avoid perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and harsh cleaning agents; they can dull stones and react with metals.
Proper Storage :
When not worn, store your treasures in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct sunlight, ideally in individual soft pouches or a lined jewelry box, to protect their brilliance.
Brass Care :
Vintage brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. For oxidation or spots on Renaissance Edit brass, a gentle polish with a soft cloth will easily restore its warm, golden luster. Embrace this as part of its living history!
