This necklace strings four kinds of tiny beads — natural moonstone in soft blue-white, natural citrine in warm champagne, faceted Czech glass catching rainbow iridescence, and Japanese Miyuki seed beads in cream opal — in a random, unrepeatable pattern, the way ripples appear on water lit by the moon. At the front sits a small white mother-of-pearl cat, carved silhouette-style: tail curling upward, one paw stepping forward, as if it just noticed you. At barely 3.7 grams the whole necklace weighs less than a whisper against the throat, and the beads settle into new arrangements every time the head turns — catching light from a dozen different angles across a single conversation.

There is a very specific image in old folklore — Japanese, Persian, Celtic, take your pick — where the moon lays down a silver path across water, and a small white cat walks out onto it.
