A fully sculpted brass scarab beetle sits at the center of a translucent rose quartz disc — six legs splayed mid-climb, wing casings textured with fine ridged detail, antennae raised as though sensing something just out of reach. The stone behind it is a soft, milky pink that deepens toward the edges where the bezel catches shadow. At 8.1g the pendant has a satisfying coin-like weight, and the round disc shape gives it the quality of a wax seal or a naturalist's specimen tag — something pinned carefully, catalogued with affection.
THE CHARACTER ARC:
A Love Letter to the Creatures We Overlook
There is a particular kind of woman who stops in the middle of a walk to watch a beetle cross the path. Who notices the iridescence on a wing casing the way others notice diamonds. Who keeps field guides on her nightstand and pressed leaves between the pages of her novels.
This pendant was made for her. The scarab — ancient symbol of renewal, transformation, and the stubborn persistence of small lives — is cast in raw brass with the kind of sculptural detail that rewards a closer look. Every ridge on its back, every joint in its legs, is rendered with the care of a Victorian naturalist's illustration. And the rose quartz beneath it does something unexpected: it softens the insect, turns it from specimen into sweetheart. This is not a beetle under glass. This is a beetle in love — caught mid-stride on a stone the color of a first blush.
Wear it if you have ever felt tenderness for something the rest of the world steps over. If your idea of romance includes rain on leaves, handwritten field notes, and the quiet company of living things that never ask to be admired but deserve to be.
Avoid Water & Chemicals :
Keep all pieces dry and away from water. This is vital for The Renaissance Edit's vintage brass, as it prevents oxidation. Also, avoid perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and harsh cleaning agents; they can dull stones and react with metals.
Proper Storage :
When not worn, store your treasures in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct sunlight, ideally in individual soft pouches or a lined jewelry box, to protect their brilliance.
Brass Care :
Vintage brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. For oxidation or spots on Renaissance Edit brass, a gentle polish with a soft cloth will easily restore its warm, golden luster. Embrace this as part of its living history!
