The same book-shaped brass locket, the same engraved scroll border — but open this one in the light and the stone tells an entirely different story. Deep rose-red liuli glass, its interior threaded with gold foil suspended mid-movement, the pieces catching the light in flashes of warm copper and amber against the crimson ground. It does not sit quietly. It shifts, it glints, it draws the eye back a second time and a third. The foil is not decoration applied to the surface — it was sealed inside the glass as it formed, made permanent, made part of the stone itself.
