This is a large piece and it knows it. A generous oval of deep oxblood red agate — polished to a mirror-like gloss that catches every light source in the room — carries at its center a brass floral scroll in the Art Nouveau style: a single open-petaled bloom surrounded by sweeping ribbons that curl and taper like calligraphy strokes frozen mid-flourish.
