A pair of brass hands pressed together in prayer — fingers aligned, wrists meeting at the base — against a round disc of mother of pearl. The shell catches light the way oil catches water: a faint wash of pink, blue, and green drifts across its cream-white surface as the pendant moves. The bezel is not plated but brushed to a warm matte gold, giving the frame the solemnity of a reliquary or a saint's medallion. The praying hands are sculpted with anatomical precision: knuckle lines, fingernails, the slight tension in the tendons visible even at this scale.
