A brass sun with a human face sits at the center of a rose quartz ring — not mounted on top of the stone but held within it, as though the stone grew around the sun and chose to keep it. The quartz is cut as a donut: a translucent blush-pink circle with a hollow center, its surface polished to a soft glow that lets light pass through the edges like early morning through a curtain. The sun face is Baroque in style — full cheeks, heavy-lidded eyes, a mouth that is not quite smiling but is certainly not displeased, surrounded by radiating flame-shaped rays that curl and twist like living fire frozen mid-dance. The whole piece has the quality of an astrological talisman pulled from a fortune-teller's velvet pouch: ancient in feeling, warm in colour, and small enough — at 5.8 grams — to feel like a secret rather than a statement.

THE CHARACTER ARC:

She Carried Her Own Light

The sun face is one of the oldest symbols humans ever carved — older than alphabets, older than borders, older than the names we gave the gods. Before it was Apollo, before it was Ra, before it was Sūrya, it was simply the thing that came back every morning without being asked. The most reliable miracle in the world. Every culture that ever looked up drew a face on it, because humans cannot help giving personality to the things that sustain them.

The rose quartz holding this sun is the stone the Greeks associated with Aphrodite — not the goddess of dramatic passion, but the gentler version of her: the one who presides over self-love, over tenderness, over the quiet act of being kind to yourself on a Thursday afternoon for no particular reason. Together, the sun and the stone make a small argument: that warmth and softness are not opposites. That the same woman who carries fire can also carry tenderness. That power does not have to look like steel — sometimes it looks like pink stone catching the light, and a golden face that has been smiling at the sky since before anyone alive was born.

This is for the woman who draws her energy from somewhere older than productivity apps and morning routines. Who has always felt more aligned with seasons than schedules. Who knows, without needing anyone to confirm it, that she carries her own light — and that it is warm, and pink, and enough.

Avoid Water & Chemicals :

Keep all pieces dry and away from water. This is vital for The Renaissance Edit's vintage brass, as it prevents oxidation. Also, avoid perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and harsh cleaning agents; they can dull stones and react with metals.

Proper Storage :

When not worn, store your treasures in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct sunlight, ideally in individual soft pouches or a lined jewelry box, to protect their brilliance.

Brass Care :

Vintage brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. For oxidation or spots on Renaissance Edit brass, a gentle polish with a soft cloth will easily restore its warm, golden luster. Embrace this as part of its living history!
