An oval brass locket with a scalloped outer border and fine crosshatched engraving framing a single large cabochon at its center. The vintage glass stone is iridescent — mossy green dominates the surface, with flashes of gold, amber, and the occasional cool violet or blue shifting across the dome as the angle of light changes. The brass has the warm tone of aged gold, polished smooth around the stone and finely engraved everywhere else. The cabochon’s surface is smooth and domed, and its colours sit layered rather than mixed — green over gold over something deeper, the way a forest floor layers moss over soil over the dark where roots live.
