Natural opal contains water. Keep away from heat, harsh chemicals, and ultrasonic cleaners. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth.
A natural raw opal in a soft irregular form, semi-translucent and lit through with vivid multi-color fire that spreads evenly from one edge to the other — a continuous wash of green, pink, orange and blue, as if the color had been laid on wet and allowed to find its own borders. One-of-a-kind. October birthstone.
THE CHARACTER ARC:
A small wash, cradled in a golden palm.
A wash is the gentlest way color can arrive.
In watercolor, a wash is what happens when you load a brush with pigment, touch it to wet paper, and let the water decide where the color goes. You don’t force the edges. You don’t fill a shape. You give the paint permission to spread, and it spreads — into whatever softness the paper allows, a continuous field of color with no hard lines anywhere. A wash is color that has been invited rather than placed.
Her body is one of those washes, held still. A soft irregular form, semi-translucent, with vivid aurora fire — green, pink, orange, blue — spreading evenly from one edge to the other, as if the color were still slowly deciding where to go. Nothing is contained. Nothing is sharp. The whole surface is covered because the whole surface was willing.
She is for anyone who has learned that the softest kinds of brightness — the washes of feeling, the washes of light at the end of certain days, the washes of color that come over a face when something quietly good happens — are often the ones that stay. For the person who understands that color doesn’t always need an outline to be real. She is the small wash in the palm — spread, soft, luminous, held carefully by a hand that knows the gentlest shapes are the ones that reach the farthest.
Avoid Water & Chemicals :
Keep all pieces dry and away from water. This is vital for The Renaissance Edit's vintage brass, as it prevents oxidation. Also, avoid perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and harsh cleaning agents; they can dull stones and react with metals.
Proper Storage :
When not worn, store your treasures in a cool, dry place. Keep them out of direct sunlight, ideally in individual soft pouches or a lined jewelry box, to protect their brilliance.
Brass Care :
Vintage brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. For oxidation or spots on Renaissance Edit brass, a gentle polish with a soft cloth will easily restore its warm, golden luster. Embrace this as part of its living history!
